This early pen and ink work of the artist depicts Notre Dame sports legend, Leon Hart ©1962. Duffey, a Notre Dame graduate, worked for The South Bend Evening Tribune as well as for the campus press at Notre Dame. His attention to detail shown in this work foreshadows the same detail still found in Duffey's work 30 years later (in the musculature of the "Michael's Body Scene" and the wall at Spanky's, West Palm Beach, Florida).
